Saint Louis University Field Hockey vs La Salle University at the SLU Field Hockey Complex in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Today is Senior Day with four seniors graduating this year. The four seniors are as follow No. 2 Ashley Jones, No. 14 Shaya Dry, No. 18 Ava Calma, and No. 18 Abby Vidas. The four players were given there Senior Day Honors prior to the start of the game. This contest between the two A10 Conference teams was very important because the Billikens and the Explorers were both fifth in the A10 Conference. As the season draws to a close in just a few weeks the winner of this matchup is 500 for the season with the A10 Conference Championship looming in the near future. The game would be decided by a Double Overtime ending in a Shoot Out. After the first Shoot Out pairing the game was still tied 1 to 1 in Overtime. The final minutes of the game had several penalty kicks and play reviews. This was truly a hard fought fifth place battle. Final score La Salle 2 to SLU 1.
